Hong Kong Special Administrative Region “Patent Box” Overview of Tax Preferential Measures
The draft legislation on preferential tax measures for the “Patent Box” of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (Hong Kong) was gazette on March 28, 2024. After the legislative process, the “patent box” preferential tax measures will take effect form the use of sale of eligible intellectual property rights under certain specific conditions and from Hong Kong can be taxes at preferential tax rate of 5%.
